
Communications Specialist
Position Overview
The Communications Specialist strengthens the company’s visibility, credibility, and strategic placement across the AI automation, workflow intelligence, simulation technology, and grant‑readiness sectors. This role focuses on securing industry recognition, expanding platform presence, managing media relationships, and driving content strategy across digital channels. The ideal candidate is an intermediate‑level communicator with 3–5 years of experience in PR, outreach, content strategy, or communications within tech, SaaS, or mission‑driven sectors.
Key Responsibilities:

Identify and secure opportunities to feature the company and its products in industry publications, newsletters, sector reports, and media outlets.

Build relationships with editors, journalists, and content curators in AI, nonprofit technology, higher education, and grantmaking sectors.

Prepare submission‑ready content for publication (articles, interviews, product spotlights, case studies).
Press Releases & Media Communication

Draft, edit, and distribute press releases for product launches, partnerships, research findings, and major company milestones.

Maintain a media contact list and coordinate outreach to ensure coverage and visibility.

Support leadership with talking points, quotes, and media‑ready messaging.
Platform Outreach & Partnership Placement

Contact organizations such as Candid, GrantStation, Instrumentl, and similar platforms to secure product listings, partnership opportunities, and visibility placements.

Prepare platform‑specific product summaries, capability descriptions, and onboarding materials.

Track outreach progress and maintain a pipeline of partnership conversations.
Academic & University Engagement

Reach out to universities, colleges, and research institutions to promote simulation‑based offerings such as thesis/dissertation simulations, academic committee simulations, and decision‑intelligence tools.

Prepare outreach packets, demo scripts, and informational materials tailored to academic audiences.
Content Strategy & Social Media Management

Plan and execute strategic placement of content (videos, newsletters, bulletins, announcements) across the appropriate social media platforms.

Manage daily/weekly content calendars for LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and emerging platforms relevant to the company’s audience.

Monitor engagement analytics and adjust content strategy to maximize reach and relevance.
SEO Strategy & Digital Optimization

Develop and maintain SEO strategies that improve search visibility for the company’s products, simulations, and grant‑readiness tools.

Conduct keyword research, optimize landing pages, and collaborate with product teams to ensure SEO alignment.

Track SEO performance and provide monthly insights to leadership.
Required Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in communications, PR, marketing, public affairs, or related fields.

Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, compelling content.
